KORN Live DVD To Get Big-Screen Premiere
May 22, 2006Don Kaye of Launch Radio Networks reports: KORN's upcoming DVD, "Live On The Other Side", will receive a big screen premiere on June 19 at more than 100 theatres in 70 markets nationwide. Singer Jonathan Davis said that the disc features the band's November 2005 performance in New York City that launched its "See You On The Other Side" album. "That's basically us playing at the Hammerstein Ballroom when we did, you know, when the album came out," he said. "It was our launch event. We flew a plane over from London with a bunch of winners from MTV and kids from every country over there, and we did this cool show. You know, there's all kinds of stuff. There's interviews with us, they're gonna have us playing on the plane, the live show, there's all kinds of extras. So it's a really cool DVD."
Along with interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and music videos, the disc will feature excerpts from a private show the band played for contest winners and U.S. soldiers on a plane headed to New York from Europe.
The DVD will be in stores on June 20.
Tickets for the screenings go on sale today (Friday, May 19). Check out BigScreenConcerts.com for sales and theatre information.
KORN will headline the Family Values tour this summer, which begins on July 27 in Virginia Beach. The main stage lineup also features DEFTONES, STONE SOUR, FLYLEAF and DIR EN GREY.
Jonathan Davis made an appearance at a McDonald's across the street from Wrigley Field in Chicago Thursday, May 18 to give away tickets, merchandise and even cash to promote Family Values.
